Los Angeles based visual artist, Jennia Fredrique Aponte, has been honing her skills for paper mosaics since she was a little girl. Recognizing a love for paper and collage, Jennia’s mother gifted the young artist with her first exact knife when Jennia was just 10 years old. Originally a dancer and filmmaker, Jennia blends her roots of movement with her  love for paper, bringing about a perfect marriage of her two passions.

The artisit’s use of dancers to tell stories that transcend space, time and the universe challenge each viewer to think deeply. From Egyptian papyrus to pure gold leaf, Jennia collects paper from all over the world loves to take the already existing materials and arrange them into a new art form.
