From the percussive beats of West African dance to the syncopated rhythms of jazz and hip hop to the delicate grace of ballet, the artistry and innovation of dance has influenced and defined cultures worldwide. Through the medium of visual art, this exhibition honors the rich legacy of dance and the profound impact it has had on humanity.

Street Faerie

Everyone of my paper mosaics tells a story.  Each intricate collage is an amalgamation of personal moments, vivid dreams and a constant search for the truth about myself and the world I live in. Filled with secrets and mystical elements, my canvases reveal where I've come from, what l’ve learned, and where I’m going.

As a former dancer I wanted to make art that felt fluid and multi dimensional. I am certain that standing in front my work over a period of will cause one to see and feel something completely different than viewing the work at first glance.

Kinetic 001 (Brotha E)

Jeremy Biggers draws inspiration from his personal experiences and the way they shape his perspective of the world. His artwork explores themes of identity, particularly in relation to his experience as a Black man in America. Through his unique visual language, he employs his signature "hyper-red" color to convey a sense of aspiration and a rejection of complacency.

The dots that are a recurring element in Biggers' work represent his mother and the ladybugs that visited him after her passing. These symbols hold a deep personal significance for the artist and add an additional layer of meaning to his pieces.

Grace Upon Me

As an artist, I was always fascinated by the idea of leaving a legacy and making my mark in the world. From a young age, I had a desire to create and share my creativity with others. This passion has stayed with me throughout the years, and I continue to use my artistic talents to produce paintings that are full of life and color.

For this exhibition, I have created a two paintings that are an extension of my ongoing journey to create uplifting and empowering works of art. I drew inspiration from my daughter's ballet recitals, and each figure in these paintings is meant to convey a sense of grace and dignity.
